Midfielder who joined the Vale in the summer following three-year stay at Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen.

Belgian youth international Ojo is a graduate of the PSV Eindhoven Academy and made his first team debut aged just 17 in an Eredivisie win against Willem II.

Ojo’s tally for first team appearances hit double figures, though he spent time on loan at VVV Venlo before returning to Belgium, completing a permanent transfer to Beerschot AC, where he had previously been a youth team player prior to his move to PSV.

However, a year later Ojo joined Antwerp, then in the Belgian Second Division, though that stay was brief before return to the Netherlands with Dordrecht, who he helped to win promotion to the Eredivisie in his first season.

Dordrecht were relegated after just one season back in the top flight, though, and Ojo returned to the Eredivisie with Willem II in 2015, spending two seasons with the club he made his league debut against and making 67 appearances.

In the summer of 2017, Ojo moved to England with Scunthorpe United – then in League One – and helped the Iron earn a place in the League One Play-Offs in his debut campaign, where they lost to eventual promotion winners Rotherham United.

However, Scunthorpe suffered relegation to League Two a year later and Ojo was signed by Aberdeen. He featured in both the Scottish Premiership and UEFA Europa League in his early stages at Pittodrie before moving to Wigan Athletic on loan in the 2020/21 season, helping the Latics secure their League One status.

On his return to Scotland, Ojo made 39 appearances in the 2021/22 season, though he was allowed to leave the club in June 2022, opting to move to the Vale after his Aberdeen contract expired.

With over 350 career appearances to his name, Ojo brings additional League One experience to the Vale’s midfield heading into the 2022/23 campaign.
