The Valiants have been drawn in the Northern Section, Group E, alongside Derby County, Doncaster Rovers and Mansfield Town.Vale will play each side once in the group, with the dates and venues to be confirmed at a later date.
The new format see's Bruno Ribeiro and his side come up against the newly introduce category one team, Derby County.
The first group game will be played the week commencing the 29th of August, with further information being released soon.
